6. Cookie Policy & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that allow us to remember your preferences and session state.

Strictly Essential Cookies

Required for core authentication, session validation, and security token delivery. Without these cookies, services like logging in or syncing lesson progress cannot function.

Preference & Functional Cookies

Remember your selected language (Vietnamese or English), playback speed (0.75x, 1x, 1.25x), dark/light theme, and collapsed UI drawer state.

Performance & Diagnostic Cookies

Collect anonymized metrics regarding page loading times, video buffer stalls, and crash logs to help our engineers improve application performance.

Where analytics is switched on: in the EU, EEA and UK it starts only after you accept the consent banner; elsewhere, including Vietnam, anonymous page-level analytics starts as soon as a page opens, before you choose, and you can block it in your browser.

The analytics service is Google Analytics (GA4). Foxalo sends it page views and a few learning events (for example, starting or finishing a first practice, or starting sign-up), with the lesson, language and interface language, but no name, email, account ID or text you typed. Google Analytics, as a service, also receives standard browser data such as your IP address.

You can configure your browser to reject cookies or notify you when a cookie is placed. However, disabling essential cookies will degrade core application functionality.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR, CCPA, and Vietnam Decree 13/2023), you hold the following rights regarding your personal information:

Right to Access & Portability: You may request a machine-readable export of your profile, learning logs, and vocabulary statistics at any time.
Right to Rectification: You can update your display name, email, or password directly within your Account Settings.
Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): You may permanently delete your Foxalo account. All personally identifiable information, audio files, and streak records will be purged within 30 days.
Right to Restrict or Object: You may opt out of promotional emails or withdraw consent for voice recording processing at any time.

8. Children’s Privacy

Foxalo is designed for learners of diverse ages. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union) without verified parental or legal guardian consent. If you discover that a child has provided us with personal data without proper authorization, please reach out to privacy@pingra.com, and we will take immediate measures to delete that data.

9. Policy Updates & DPO Contact

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect technical innovations, service enhancements, or statutory adjustments. If material revisions are made, we will notify you via a banner notification in the app or via email before the changes take effect.
